Childhood/Familial History:
The patient has no known history of childhood seizures, and no known family history of seizure disorders.

Chinese Herbs:
The patient is no longer taking the Chinese tea. You can find details of the formula on the Chinese Herbs page. The Chinese medical doctor prescribing this formula is affiliated with UCSF and has carefully researched any potential complications.

Diet:
The patient tried a modified ketogenic diet for six months from January 2011 to approximately July 2011. The diet did not impact seizure activity. She had to stop because her weight dropped to almost 100 pounds. At the present, the patient is on a regular balanced diet.

Headaches:
She does not suffer from headaches. Early on, she did have headaches as a side effect of Labetalol. The headaches lasted for approximately a month and then resolved.
